Swimming Coach Chris Coffin
Chris Coffin | 40-42008 was a comeback year for Chris after re-inventing himself as an AquaBike specialist and joining Team Full Throttle. In 2010 Chris joined the Full Throttle coaching staff as the team’s swim coach. Working closely with the USAT, Chris is dedicated to developing the future of AquaBike events on a local and national level. He attributes his success to the incredible coaching, team camaraderie and talent of the athletes that surround him every day. Full Throttle highlights include:
2008 - 3rd Overall Nutmegman 1/2 Ironman, AquaBike division
2009- 3rd Overall, 3rd in Age Group, Eagleman 1/2 Ironman, AquaBike division
2009- 5th Overall, Timberman 1/2 Ironman, AquaBike division
2009- 1st Overall, Long Island Gold Coast Sprint , AquaBike division
2010- 1st Age Group, 4th overall, Eagleman 1/2 Ironman, AquaBike division

2010- 2nd Overall, USAT Team Nationals, 1/2 Ironman AquaBike division
Chris was a junior national water polo player and an NCAA Div.I swimmer for Providence College. He is a USLA lifeguard competitor specializing in the distance surf paddle and the lifeguard ironman for the Jones Beach Lifeguard Corps. Chris is an artist and art educator, and lives in Brooklyn with his wife Jennifer and their son, Kai.
