Bill "el Diablo" Kelly

Bill Kelly | 45-42008 Most Valuable Athlete  

A fixture on the Metropolitan Triathlon scene, Bill has been racing competitively in the age-group ranks for over 20 years. He is a multi-year member of Team USA and has consistently been named First Team All-American by USA Triathlon. While typically a short course racer, Bill has shown his versatility by racing the Hawaii Ironman numerous times and in 2007 being on the podium at Ironman USA in Lake Placid with an outstanding time of 9:57.  

Bill is the 2009 Overall champion of the Mighty Montauk triathlon and is the oldest to ever win that race. He has countless age group wins (He won his age group in the New York City triathlon 4 consecutive years) and despite his age still tends to race in the elite divisions. Bill is excited about the 2010 season where the focus of the season will be the Age Group World championships in Budapest Hungary in September as a member of Team USA.. Bill works in the financial field, lives in New Jersey with his wife and three children, and is a passionate New York Yankee and Bruce Springsteen fan.
